What’s going on?

All on-premises Exclaimer products have been discontinued since 2022.

From October 2023, we’ll no longer be renewing support for Exclaimer Signature Manager Outlook Edition and Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition.


What do I do?


You have two options available for your on-premises customers:

Customers with an active Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA)  


This is your last chance to renew your customers’ SMA. Renewing now will allow them to work in a secure environment, while they transition to an Exclaimer cloud product at their own pace. After September 2023, you’ll no longer be able to renew support for their product. 

Please note that if you do decide to renew your customers’ SMA for another year, you will not be able to do so again after September 2024 when we will be ending all support for our on-premises products. 

Customers with an inactive SMA 

You’ll need to migrate your customers to our cloud solution if you want them to manage email signatures in a supported and reliable environment. 

Migrating your customers to our cloud solution now will allow them to move at their own pace working together with their on-premises Exchange server until they're ready to fully migrate to the cloud. It also means they’ll be ready for when we end all support for our on-premises software in 2024.

What if they continue to use an unsupported product?

If your customers use an Exclaimer product with no support, they’ll start to see problems with their signatures, including: 

  • Their signatures not working - With no further software updates or bug fixes, their signatures will stop working at any time. Any Microsoft updates will also likely cause their signatures to break across all devices. 

  • Security vulnerabilities – No further updates will leave their organization exposed to security vulnerabilities.

  • Compliance and legal risks – They won’t be compliant with the latest security and regulatory standards, including SOC 2 Type II, and ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27018.

  • Lack of technical support – You won’t be able to contact Exclaimer for help should anything go wrong with their signatures.

  • No access to latest features - They won’t have access to existing or future productivity and growth features, leaving them at a disadvantage.

Depending on which version of Signature Manager your customers are using, they may also experience: 

  • Signatures not being applied on certain devices

  • Bugs that stop the correct signature from being applied

  • Not being able to create signatures on local users’ computers or terminal sessions

  • Not being able to deploy signatures to Outlook Web Access (OWA)
