Humanize your business emails with Exclaimer Photo Sync

We humans are visual creatures. Our brains process images 60,000 times faster than text. Which is why so many organizations use professional photographs as part of their marketing strategy. They grab our attention, evoke emotions, and encourage further interaction.

So, using staff photos in email signatures is a no-brainer. Email is still the primary business communications channel and is often the public face of your company. The simple addition of a headshot photo within a well-designed signature has the power to humanize any email communication and create trust with your audiences.

With Exclaimer’s new Photo Sync feature, it’s easy to add professional headshots to any email signature template. If an employee has a photo assigned to them in either Azure Active Directory or Google Directory, it’s automatically synced and applied to their signature. No manual uploads, no having to source images, and no inconsistencies.

This feature is now available to all Exclaimer customers on our Pro subscription plan. If you’re currently using our Starter or Standard plans or our legacy Exclaimer Signature Management Cloud package, you’ll need to upgrade to use this functionality.

The power of photos in business emails

Building a personal connection

Business emails can sometimes feel impersonal. It’s easy to forget that there’s a person on the other side of an email conversation.

Adding a sender’s face in an email signature can instantly make a message more relatable; more personable; more human. This creates stronger personal connections with your audiences and increases engagement with your company.

Establishing trust and credibility

Trust is a challenge online. When there’s no trust, there can be no effective communication. A photo within an email signature can make someone feel more comfortable and make the messaging more authentic. Research shows that human faces are powerful visual cues for enhancing trust.

Think how much easier it is to trust someone when you can see what they look like. Seeing a person's face makes the content feel more credible and increases the likelihood it will be acted upon.

Representing your brand

Research by Forbes shows that a brand has seven seconds to make a good first impression. Every channel you use represents your brand’s values and identity, which makes all employees your brand ambassadors.

Using staff photos in email signatures creates a consistent and professional brand image, reinforcing what your brand stands for and helping your audiences identify your company over email.

Making yourself memorable

Humans typically remember faces over names. In fact, a study from York University found that we can remember up to 10,000 faces over our lifetime.

Using headshot photos in signatures makes it easier to remember someone associated with an email. This is useful for internal communications in large organizations and for employees in customer-facing roles.
